Over the past two decades Andrew has employed his skills as a veterinary surgeon specializing in wildlife and zoo medicine across the globe. He was veterinary surgeon in the United States at the New England Aquarium and at Ocean Park in Hong Kong and currently he is Chief Veterinary Surgeon and manager of the Zoological Society of London's veterinary hospital. Andrew's professional skills extend beyond the veterinary sciences and include project development and management.

Andrew is a well published researcher in veterinary medicine and Associate Professor of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and lecturer at a number of premier veterinary schools in the UK.
